Meet Davis! 🤎

Davis is a handsome young boy with a gentle heart and the sweetest full-body wiggle you’ll ever see. Around 2 years old, he’s looking for a patient family who will give him the time he needs to build confidence and show just how wonderful he is.

While Davis enjoys playing in the yard with his best buddy, Gracie, he’s a couch potato at heart. After a few zoomies, you’ll usually find him lounging on the porch, cooling off in the kiddie pool, or simply relaxing by your side.

He’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. In fact, Davis was a superstar at his adoption event! He greeted people politely without pulling or jumping, then happily sat at their feet, soaking up all the love and attention. He’s also learning new skills every day and has already mastered getting his front paws into the car—he just needs a little boost for the back end!

Car rides are another favorite. Davis enjoys sitting in the backseat, taking in all the sights, and whenever he gets the chance, sticking his head out the window to enjoy the breeze.

Davis currently lives with cats and mostly ignores the resident cat. When he spotted a neighborhood cat outside the fence, he was curious enough to run over, but immediately came back with one happy command, greeting his foster with his signature wiggly excitement.

He absolutely loves Gracie and enjoys spending time with her. He’s also been meeting younger resident dogs through slow introductions. While he occasionally gives a little grumble, it’s still too early to know if he’s asking for space or inviting play, so thoughtful introductions will continue to help him succeed.

At an adoption event, Davis met children and treated them just like the adults—with kindness, gentle manners, and plenty of affection. He also met chickens and couldn’t have cared less about them!

Davis can be a little nervous in new environments, but with patience and encouragement, his confidence continues to grow. One of his biggest accomplishments? He’s officially conquered his fear of stairs! Watching him overcome challenges is incredibly rewarding, and his future family will have the joy of seeing that confidence blossom even more.
