Three little survivors. Three giant personalities.

Meet Piddles, Pester, and Toothpick — three puppies who have already seen more of the world than any puppy should.

🐾 Pester – Female, 10 weeks old, 9 lbs

🐾 Toothpick – Male, 10 weeks old, 8 lbs

Before arriving in rescue, these babies were sitting in a rural Mississippi pound where resources are stretched thin and unwanted dogs often have very few options. Places like this are filled with dogs just hoping someone notices them before time runs out.

For puppies, the odds can be especially tough. Disease spreads quickly in overcrowded facilities, and every day is uncertain. While many dogs never get the opportunity to leave, these three were among the lucky ones.

And before anyone asks — yes, their mama is safe too. ❤️ She wasn’t able to make this transport, but she is secure and will be making her way north on a future trip. We couldn’t leave her behind.

Now these babies are safe, healthy, and judging by these photos, making up for lost time one zoomie, one kiss, and one ridiculous tongue-out expression at a time.

Piddles, Pester, and Toothpick don’t spend a second dwelling on where they came from. They’re too busy being puppies — playing, exploring, causing harmless mischief, and charming everyone they meet.

Their past may have started in a place that forgot their value, but their future is going to be written by the people who choose to love them.
