Oxford (aka little Ox)

Meet Oxford! This black and white boy is gorgeous and has a slight underbite that is adorable! We don’t know breeds as we don’t DNA test, but he certainly looks like he may have some boxer in there! (No guarantees)

He is a local surrender that we are told the person got the dog and was trying to save it, then realized they didn’t have time for a puppy.

What the experienced foster can tell you:

💙 this puppy is scared, skinny and has not been treated with the love he deserves

💙 he appears to have been in a crate a lot and isn’t really sure how to “puppy”

💙 this is a puppy that needs a person with a gentle touch, a kind soul and patience to make Ox feel safe and secure

💙 This will be an absolutely loyal dog once you have earned his trust

💙 He will need someone who can take him out frequently and build his confidence with going outside.

💙 once he starts to trust someone, he wants to touch them and not let them out of his sight.

Little Oxford is young- exact age unclear. (We were told 3 months but appears a bit older). He will need to be vetted before he can go to his forever home. We look forward to seeing his confidence build as he learns his belly will always be full, a crate is safe place, and people can provide love, praise, comfort and reassurance.
