Mama Ellie 🖤🐾

Ellie came into rescue after giving birth to six puppies underneath a porch. She was doing everything she could to care for her babies, and when one of the newborns needed help, we stepped in. That’s how Ellie and her six tiny potatoes ended up safely in rescue. ❤️

Ellie has the cutest little personality. When you talk to her and tell her she’s a good girl, she’ll squint and grin at you like she knows exactly how wonderful she is. 😍 She is very treat motivated and already knows sit and lay down when there’s a snack involved.

She doesn’t jump much, although she may make an attempt when she really wants some attention and pets. 😂 She responds well when redirected and has a pretty good understanding of “wait” and “stay.”

On leash, Ellie is a relatively slow and easygoing walker. She doesn’t pull much unless something particularly interesting catches her attention, and she’ll come back toward you when called.

She also rides well in the car, is crate trained, and is good with cats! 🐱❤️

After spending all this time being the best mama to six puppies, Ellie is almost ready for someone to spoil her. In just a few short weeks her pups will be able to fend for themselves so mama can go off and find her furever family! 🐾

She deserves a soft bed, some tasty treats, plenty of affection, and a family who will remind her every day what a good girl she is. 🥹🖤
