Those stunning blue eyes aren’t just beautiful… they’re always searching for her people. Lucy is incredibly loyal, whip-smart, and happiest when she’s part of whatever her family is doing.

Lucy is about a year old, house trained, crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, walks well on leash, and absolutely loves learning. She picks up new tricks in no time and is incredibly food motivated, making training one of her favorite games.

She adores people and has done wonderfully with children. Whether she’s watching the kids play in the yard or following her family from room to room, Lucy simply wants to be included. She forms deep bonds with her humans and loves being part of the action.

Lucy is looking for a very specific home where she can truly thrive.

She will need to be the only dog in the home. As she’s matured, living with another adult dog has become increasingly stressful for her, and despite everyone’s best efforts, it is no longer a safe situation. Because we know Lucy’s success matters, we’re committed to finding her a home where she doesn’t have to compete for space, attention, or leadership.

She has lived around cats, but due to her prey drive, a cat-free home would be the safest match.

Lucy is an active girl who enjoys running, exploring, digging in the dirt, and keeping both her mind and body busy. She’ll do best with an adopter who enjoys training, structure, and giving her positive outlets for all that intelligence.

Sometimes the kindest decision isn’t keeping a dog where they’re struggling. It’s finding the place where they can finally relax and simply be themselves.
