Harold

💙 Harold 💙

Sometimes loving a dog means making the hardest decision imaginable.

Harold’s family rescued him in 2019 and has loved him ever since. Life, however, has changed. A demanding work schedule combined with frequent travel to care for aging parents means Harold isn’t getting the time and consistency he deserves. Rather than letting him continue to struggle, they’re making the heartbreaking decision to find him a home where he can truly thrive.

Harold is a 7-year-old gentleman who’s equal parts adventure buddy and couch companion. He loves walks, rides well in the car after settling in, is completely house trained, crate trained, and knows his basic commands including sit, stay, come, and “give paw.” At the end of the day, his favorite place is curled up beside his person.

Harold would do best as the only pet in the home. He has successfully worked with a professional trainer in the past around other dogs, but we’re looking for a home that doesn’t require him to share his space. Unless an experienced owner who can manage his “other dog quirks”He also has no experience living with cats.

Because he’s a strong, enthusiastic guy who can play rough and is naturally protective of his people and home, we’d recommend a home with older, dog-savvy children if any.

His dream home?

🏡 A quieter setting with room to roam.

🌳 A fenced yard would be a huge bonus.

❤️ Someone looking for a loyal best friend rather than a dog park socialite.

Harold isn’t looking for a crowd.

He’s looking for his person.

If you think you might be the fresh start this handsome boy deserves, we’d love to hear from you.

Sometimes the greatest act of love is making sure your best friend has the life you wish you could still give them. 🐾
