“Dakota is a very sweet girl. When she’s out with the dogs she doesn’t bother them at all and they don’t bother her. When she’s in her kennel and she has food she’s tries to protect it but other than that she’s super good.”

Dakota is an 8 year old German Shepherd…🚫👀

Unfortunately she is mostly blind. We think she may see shadows. In her younger years, I can almost guarantee she was somebody’s good girl. A faithful one. The kind who probably followed her person from room to room, head always lifted at the sound of their voice. Now her eyes are cloudy, but she hasn’t stopped trying 🥹

She listens closely, walks steady on a leash and trusts the sound of your footsteps to guide her. She doesn’t jump, doesn’t snap - just waits, patient and quiet, for someone to notice her again.

Her golden years are here. Dakota isn’t asking for forever she’s asking for a soft place to land where she can finish her story with dignity.

She does well with the other dogs she’s kenneled with. Fed seprately because she cant see when dog is coming to her bowl.

Please look past the her faded sight and see what we see - a faithful dog, still giving her best🥰
