💔 Meet Cashus 💔 (only pet)

Cashus, one of our long term resident dogs has been in a foster home setting for about 5 weeks now and in that time we have learned that he would succeed best in a home where he is the only pet. While living with other cats and dogs in the home he has shown inconsistency with who he is able to get along with even when there are no external factors involved (like food or toys he could be guarding)

Cashus does great with people, he has not shown any guarding behavior towards humans while living with adults or small children.

Cashsus did come from a significant neglect situation prior to being rescued - he lived on a chain and was only fed scraps every few days. Due to this he had some significant malnutrition issues but has gained weight and doing much better! Cashus does take an allergy medication (currently about 200 dollars for a 3 month supply) to keep him happy and itch free as well as having a special diet. He is exclusively on a no chicken/fowl diet.
