We would like to introduce you to Adira.

She was found the morning of 2/15 (after several people went out to look for her) trembling beside two companions who did not survive. We do not know why her companions were shot and dumped. We do not know why she was left behind, alive but starving, her skin raw and patchworked with lesions. What we do know is this: she deserved none of it.

Adira is malnourished. Likely battling a fungal skin infection. Terrified of the very hands that are now trying to help her. And still… she let a patient volunteer lead her out.

That tiny flicker of trust? That’s where her new story begins. ✨

We are getting her fully vetted, treated, and settled with a patient foster who will show her that kindness is real and safety exists. The road ahead will include diagnostics, medications, nourishing food, and time.
